I have fully embraced the power of video after creating original content at Koji; even booking day passes to the nearest WeWork to shoot in aesthetic and well-lit spaces like these.

This extremely well-designed poster now has 10,000 likes.
At the time, we also received over 200 applications.
Today, it still makes me giggle.

These videos were created as part of the promotional campaign for Eshna's second online hula hooping course, "The Basics of Lower Body Flow."
Among the campaign videos, these two hold a special place in my heart because they emerged unexpectedly. As we logged the footage from the shoot, we were struck by the idea of turning "unusable" moments into low-key, authentic promotional videos. This kind of candid content is what our audience resonated with, not high-production ads.
These were shot by Arbab Ahmed and edited by Rohan Johnson.

Backstage, the app by CreatorStack, had just launched its Creator Partner Program. We were incentivising creators with a prize of $5000 USD a week to join and engage their fans on the app.
I thought this was funny so we made it a part of the promotional campaign. My laptop crashed somewhere around the 2000th dollar.

At Koji, I joined the team when they were shifting gears from a link-in-bio platform to a social e-commerce venture (with nearly $36M in funding).
I noticed Koji had a treasure trove of top-notch content, from detailed blogs, engaging email nurtures, educational videos, and creator collaborations.
The problem? It was sitting there collecting digital dust, ineffectively shared or cross-promoted.
So, my first order of business was creating a content system that optimised the content we were already producing. All good ideas, writing, designs, or video clips were taken and optimised for social media. It worked! We got the most juice out of our content and boosted our social presence by being able to post more frequently.
Collaborating with video agency Powerhouse LA, we delved into scripting and creative direction for educational and entertaining TikToks.
I loved working in influencer partnerships as well – from the mundane signing of the contracts to the creative direction of content.

Look Mom, watching all that YouTube did get me a job.
Creatorstack's app, Backstage, is a cross between a community and a Patreon for creators and their fans. It's also backed by some serious VC firepower with a sweet $2M in funding.
We were starting from scratch here, so that meant the works: competitive research, content strategy, content pillars, visual branding, voice and tone, designing, editing, and shooting.

With FishHook, I had the opportunity to consult on a Dallas-based fin-tech app.
Our primary objective was to educate an audience concerned about inflation, wary of financial scams, and hesitant to invest their money anywhere.
Here we created concepts and copy that a team of talented designers then turned into graphic posts.

2020, 2021
@eshnakutty created Hoop Flo to be a one-stop shop for urban India's hooping needs. Classes, hoops, community: we set it all up.
I was employee zero at Hoop Flo: I couldn't have asked for better preparation to go into the start-up world. Solving problems started with saying, "I guess we need to figure out how to automate calendar invites," and ended with learning how to set up and run professional LMS, email marketing and e-commerce platforms.
We grew from 0 to 7K followers, saw the email list go from 0 to 6K, and watched our community discord buzz with 500+ active members.
